Community Grants
FMCTC is a local company and we are committed to the communities we serve. After all, our employees live, work and raise their families right here in the same communities that you do. To fulfill our commitment, we provide community support through participation in local events, and money grants to organizations needing assistance for community betterment projects.
FMCTC Matching Grant Program
Local funds are available for your community betterment project. FMCTC will ‘match’ your contribution; up to $500 may be awarded.
FMCTC invites public and private non-profit groups to submit proposals. Only communities served by FMCTC are eligible to submit proposals. Proposals may be submitted any time during the year. If you are interested in applying for these local funds, please contact our Business Office.
Aureon Charity Grant Program
Aureon (formerly Iowa Network Services) offers a charitable grant program, “Aureon Charity Grant Program.” Eligibility for this grant is offered to communities in Iowa that are served by Aureon and/or its shareholders which includes rural independent telephone companies like FMCTC.
Grant application forms are available from FMCTC or directly from Aureon. An independent Charity Grant Committee is responsible for evaluating the applications and establishing a dollar amount of each grant. There are restrictions as to the type of charity, however; the program must benefit and be made available to everyone in the community.
FMCTC and Aureon have contributed to several organizations/groups in our service area, helping them fulfill their missions and achieve their goals. Some of these groups include:
4-H Clubs, Local Volunteer Fire Departments, Public Libraries, Town Building Improvements, City Parks, Veteran Freedom Rock Projects, Area Historical Associations, Education Foundations and many, many more organizations.
