Price-Lock Questions & Answers

  1. Do I need to purchase or rent/lease a router?
    No, we provide one for you and it is included in the price of your service. Unlike other providers who charge up to $10/month extra for their equipment, ours is included at no cost to you. You’ll receive a Calix GigaCenter 844 which is a 2.4ghz/5G dual band WiFi router, includes Ethernet, USB & RJ-11 ports, power supply and installation.

  2. I’ve heard about Capital Credits/Patronage Dividends, what is that? Do I actually get a check back for using FMCTC services?
    FMCTC is a non-profit corporation and is owned by its customers. Customers who buy services from the company become cooperative members. Each year our members earn a portion of FMCTC’s margins (revenues earned above operating expenses) based on the amount of services they purchase. These earnings are called Patronage Dividends. Each year, the Board of Directors decided how much of those dividends are paid back to the members in the form of a check or Capital Credit.   3. What does FMCTC charge for installation? 
    We currently have no installation fees.

  4. Is there a cap on service usage? Will my speed be turned down after a certain amount of data is used?
    Our Internet service is unlimited and you’ll get 100% of the speed 100% of the time.

  5. Are there any circumstances where I wouldn’t have to pay the $120 cancellation fee? What if I move or am unable to continue service?
    We will consider your situation and make a decision on the $120 cancellation fee on a case by case basis. We understand there may be situations, beyond your control, where you are unable to keep service for the full 3-year contract period.

  6. What if I sign the contract and need to increase/decrease my speed or want to add Television service? 
    We will allow moves within packages and give you a new Price-Lock rate based on your decision. Television service isn’t part of the Price-Lock program. If you want to add TV, you may actually get a better rate by going with one of our regular 3 package service options. We’re happy to discuss your needs and help you determine the best options for you.
